Wealdstone lost to dubious second half penalty on Saturday as Gordon Bartlett had to reshuffle his side. Missing was James Gray (suspended), Ben Alexander (injured) and Alex Campana returning to Watford. Coming in was Man of the Match Carl Martin returning from injury and Robert Rice an 18 year old Edgware born player on loan from Wycombe Wanderers, making his debut.

After a few early efforts from Peter Dean and the out of sorts Stephen Hughes, the home side had the ball in the net when Dormer's cross was headed home by Billy Bricknell but was ruled offside. Soon after, Paul Shave came close with an effort that went wide. On the half hour Ryan Ashe was put clear with just the visiting keeper to beat but a fine timed tackle from Danny Keerigan denied the Stones player a shot on goal.

Nine minutes after the break Paul Shave had an easy chance but his shot went well wide. Then in the 65th minute after what looked like a tangle of legs between Marcus Gross and Lee Hodges, and the Referee Mr. Jerden allowing play to continue, his assistant signalled for a penalty after the Billericay player appeared to go to ground. Bradley Woods-Garness scored from the resulting spot kick with Keita Karomoko nearly getting a hand to the ball. With twenty minutes remaining Stones boss made a double substitution Jon Nichols for Marcus Gross and Wayne Reid, a striker from the reserves, making his debut replacing Chris O'Leary. Reid had a fine run but unfortunately it ended with a good block tackle from Alaile. The visitors tried hard for a deserved equaliser but were denied by a stern home defence and ended another frustrating day for Wealdstone.

Stones will now look to their League Cup match with Ashford Town at Northwood Park on Tuesday 29 January to get back to much needed winning ways - and that wont be easy against a side that have already beaten them twice this season.

Karamoko, Rice, Chappell, Martin, Gross(Nichols) Ashe, L. O'Leary, C. O'Leary(Reid), Hughes (Delisser), Dean, Montgomery, Subs: N/u, Sonuga, Carr
